Clear Answers to Critical Carrier Questions.
Transparency is the foundation of independent trucking. Here are exact, candid answers about how our desk operates, our legal boundaries, and how your authority is protected.
Authority, Roles & Decision Rights
1. How is Almajdoub Dispatch different from a freight broker?
Under federal regulations (49 CFR 371.2), a freight broker acts as an intermediary between shippers and carriers, taking a financial spread between what the shipper pays and what the carrier receives. Almajdoub Dispatch is not a broker. We operate strictly as an administrative support desk and bona fide agent representing you, the motor carrier. We work exclusively for you under a written service agreement. We never touch freight funds, never take a hidden margin, and negotiate to maximize your gross revenue.
2. Who makes the final decision on booking a load?
You do, 100% of the time. That is the core meaning of our tagline: “Your truck. Your call.” We source loads, verify broker credit, check delivery appointment feasibility, and present candidate options. No rate confirmation is signed until you personally give the green light via phone, message, or email. You are never forced onto a lane.
3. What is the Limited Power of Attorney (LPOA) and why is it needed?
The Limited Power of Attorney is a standard, narrow legal instrument included in our Dispatch Service Agreement. It authorizes our desk to perform administrative tasks on your behalf: completing broker carrier packets, submitting your Certificate of Insurance, and signing rate confirmations only after you have verbally or in writing approved the load. It grants zero authority over your bank accounts, legal entity, or overall authority.
Money, Invoicing & Freight Settlement
4. How do I get paid for the loads you dispatch?
All freight payments flow directly from the licensed broker to you. If you factor your invoices, the broker pays your factoring company; if you do direct billing, the broker pays your carrier bank account. Almajdoub Dispatch never receives, holds, or remits freight money. You invoice or factor as you always do, and we send you a separate, transparent invoice for our dispatch fee.
5. What happens if my truck breaks down or I want to take time off?
Under our percentage model, if you don't run, you don't pay anything—period. Under our flat weekly retainer, you simply give our desk advance notice of planned maintenance or vacation, and your weekly billing is paused. There are zero standby penalties or forced work requirements.
6. Do you charge onboarding or setup fees?
No. Carrier profile setup, packet processing, and initial alignment calls are 100% free. You only pay for dispatch service once we successfully coordinate active freight that you roll.
Operations, Equipment & Logistics
7. What equipment do you dispatch? Do you handle Reefers or Flatbeds?
Our desk is currently focused exclusively on 53′ Dry Van equipment. Temperature-controlled freight (Reefer) involves specialized pre-cooling protocols, continuous pulp monitoring, and unique claims liabilities. To ensure operational excellence, Reefer services remain outside our active scope until formal operating procedures (SOPs) are fully audited. Flatbed and Stepdeck are not supported at this time.
8. How do you vet freight brokers before presenting loads?
Before sending you a candidate load, we verify the broker's active authority on FMCSA SAFER, check their credit score rating on major industry credit databases, and ensure their average days-to-pay meets acceptable standards. If you work with a factoring company, we check their credit directly with your factor to guarantee funding approval.
9. Do you require installing tracking software or ELD sharing?
No. We do not require proprietary app installations or continuous ELD tracking access. We manage operational transit updates through direct driver communication (phone, WhatsApp, SMS) and coordinate broker tracking requirements through the broker's standard check-in methods or temporary load links (e.g. MacroPoint/Trucker Tools) when required by the rate con.
10. Where is your desk based and what are your operating hours?
Almajdoub Dispatch is operated by Ahmed Almajdoub from Tripoli, Libya, serving US motor carriers remotely. The desk operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST) from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We also maintain a direct line for genuine after-hours transit emergencies and facility detention logging.
11. What is your carrier capacity cap?
Our desk operates with a strict capacity ceiling of 5 to 7 active trucks. We intentionally refuse to run a high-volume call center. Keeping a small, dedicated roster ensures that when you call, you speak immediately with Ahmed, and that your loads receive undivided daily attention.
12. What documents do I need to begin onboarding?
To complete carrier onboarding, we need:
• Active FMCSA Motor Carrier Authority (MC/DOT Certificate).
• Form W-9 signed within the current calendar year.
• Certificate of Insurance (COI) with $1,000,000 Auto Liability and minimum $100,000 Cargo.
• Factoring Notice of Assignment (NOA) if you factor your invoices.
• Signed Dispatch Service Agreement & Limited Power of Attorney.
